Liposuction

View Before and After Photos

"Liposuction is an invaluable procedure to enhance one's appearance through the strategic removal of fat cells in various parts of the body - fat cells that are typically resistant to normal weight loss techniques such as diet and exercise. I strive to produce a natural enhanced look through a careful and customized approach to liposuction."

For liposuction to produce optimal results, it is first necessary to carefully examine factors such as body type, distribution of fat cells within body areas, and skin type in conjunction with patient goals and desires.  Once this careful examination is completed, only then can a customized approach be developed to provide superior results.

Liposuction is a powerful surgical technique that improves body contour by removing excess fat from deposits located between the skin and muscle.  Liposuction involves the use of a small stainless steel tube, called a cannula, connected to a powerful suction pump.  The cannula is carefully and strategically inserted into the fat deposits through small well-hidden incisions in the skin.  The suction effect of the cannula passing through the fat deposits creates tiny tunnels throughout the fatty layers. After liposuction, these tiny tunnels collapse and result in an improved body contour.

The key to success in any liposuction procedure is careful evaluation as to where to make the cannula insertions and how much fatty tissue to remove.  Once the liposuction process is successfully completed, suctioned fat cells are permanently removed. If the patient gains weight later on, the new fat will be distributed in a more proportioned manner.
